Strategic & Product PR: AdGuard Software & AdGuard VPN

We have been working on strategic and product PR for AdGuard for over 6 years. The company develops products for filtering content on the internet. Their main products are their AdGuard ad blocker, and they also have a cloud-based DNS service and VPN of the same name.

Task:
Since summer 2017, SoftwareLead agency has been the external PR and content marketing department at AdGuard. Our employees are engaged in organizing publications in top IT publications on the topic of combating cybercrime and privacy protection. Our tasks have included: sending press releases, publishing analytical articles in the world's leading business and IT media, and newsjacking.

Results:
  1. As a result of complex promotion, the site traffic grew over 3 years from an average monthly figure of 1M to 6M (with a peak of 8M).
  2. Our publications were published on major resources with traffic from 1M to 150M per month: Techcrunch, The Telegraph, Tech Advisor, Forbes, Betanews, Infosecurity Magazine, TechRadar, Ars Technica, PC Mag, The Next Web, New York Post, India Times, and other portals.
  3. After each media publication, sales of the company's products grow significantly.
  4. 2 out of 3 publications of founder columns, research or product news are done by SoftwareLead.
  5. Apart from all of the above, we do product launch support and crisis PR if things don't go according to plan. For example, a year ago we faced an unfair evaluation of the product by a reviewer from the Vpnmentor portal, who also published unreliable facts. Thanks to the prompt intervention of SoftwareLead specialists, we were able to quickly correct the situation, which resulted in a positive search engine snippet for the client.
